W e like to claim Karen Slavens as one of our own Columbus guild members even though she's moved to Cape Cod. She brought this piece to a recent Columbus guild-sponsored class taught by Lindly Haunani.
Karen's native American heritage shows through in all her work. This necklace was strung on rubber cord and finished with the long curly beads that drape down the wearer's back.
Her subtle, muted palette moves the viewer's eye to focus on the wealth of detail. |
