Blair's new large lathe demanded a new large turned piece so he created this four-foot poplar chest. The eight drawers increase slightly in size as the column diameter expands from 10" to 12". Making the drawers fit perfectly was challenging.
Cynthia added textured black polymer clay for accent and made matching black drawer pulls. The picture at right shows the piece in progress. The black polymer clay accent strips were textured by pressing raw clay onto corrugated paper. |
