Cynthia and Blair

Art’s the thing
that determined this fling
this ring
this coupling
And art’s the thing
that brings us here to sing to sing
Oh joy
and much thanksgiving
for Cynthia and Blair

What a pair what a pair
Cynthia and Blair
She brings the color
He brings the flair
Pulled back hair
and the courage to dare
But beware and pay attention Blair
Cynthia is a good witch you know
and sorcery isn’t always fair
She might visualize you
into a head without hair
Amen
But a prayer
this day
demands a prayer

Dear Blair
Let the sun shine down
on the trail you’ve blazed
with maps and power tools and lathes
and logic and science and tireless days
of planning and saving and finding ways
to make a life of beautiful days
Let the sun shine down
on this trail you’ve blazed
which Cynthia seemingly unfazed
no doubt will paint with moonbeams and bowers
and decorate with lovely summer flowers
strewn along the road you’ll travel
as your adventures and stories begin to unravel
like a winsome song
Yes, a work of art
For art’s the thing
that determined this fling
this ring
this coupling
And art’s the thing
that brings us here
to sing to sing
Oh joy
and much thanksgiving
for Cynthia and Blair

For Blair’s the richness of his bowls
the warmth, foundation and the soul
and Cynthia the dazzling marbled strips
of reds of cherry lips and
blues and greens and golds

Let your love unfold
in colors bright and bold
Let your tale be told
With the joining of your souls
join your gifts and lives
like the features of your bowls
til you’re very very happy
and very very old
