Djembe with polymer inlay by Blair Davis and Cynthia Tinapple Blair made the oak drum from more than 100 precisely cut and glued pieces of wood. I added the polymer (CFC brand) inlay. Firing this expanse of inlay was tricky. The design was made in one 8 x 10 flat sheet which was cut into four 2 x10 strips. This means that the pattern never repeats on the drum.
